What is Nanowrimo?

Nanowrimo is a convention of crazy people, who decide to write an entire novel (50,000 words) in the month of November.

Novel Synopsis

For thousands of years, the Gods have been at war. The god of the sun fights his once-lover the goddess of the moon, and their battles destroy thousands upon thousands of mortal lives every year. The gods use mortal souls to power their weapons, and entire civilizations have risen and fallen based on the trade of the delicate human commodity. The greatest of all these kingdoms is Nkros, city of the rich, the poor, and the doomed. The man that lords over all of it is the Grandmaster of Sails, the emperor of Nkros and it's human trade.

Two young siblings from the country narrowly escape the destruction and pillage of their town. Forced to run from everything they know, they go in the direction of Nkros, the only place they know they will be safe from the soul harvesters. But, when they reach Nkros, they realize that it is not exactly the safe haven they imagined. The little one becomes sick, and the only man who will protect them is wrapped up in a dangerous plot to assassinate the Grandmaster himself...
