Serpent of Souls Ongoing project started 2001 Nanowrimo 2006
The Ghost Princess of Coqueron Working Title Nanowrimo Project 2003 and 2009 The goddess of the moon and the god of the sun have been at war for thousands of years, and mortals have been caught in the middle for all of history. Victoria of Coqueron is the victim of their jealousies, sentenced to live her life in darkness, a punishment for her parent's unabashed love for the god of the sun. Alone and forgotten in her dark rooms, Victoria makes friends with the most unlikely subjects--the ghosts. However, on one strange day, a messenger arrives to tell Victoria that she will move into the palace to be close to her brother, the king. He has some stunning news for her and the entire city of Coqueron--he plans to enter the war of the gods, and be the coin that tips the scale.

Short Stories
Shanty Empire Victoria reminisces about her time abroad, and overcomes an anxiousness about the place she loved.
The Choices that the Dead Make Rebekkah is an unusual child. She does not dream. In order to find her dream, she must go the city of dreams, and a choice is put before her: darkness or light, evil or good.
Epiphany Aris recalls a girl that he knew back in 9th grade--he didn't really know her that well, but she meant more to him in chance than most of the things that he knows now.

Summer Based on an event that shook the entire European world a thousand times over, this a short story about a girl who had a connection with people she didn't know--who made up things just because she could--and witnessed something that changed the whole world.
Silence A halloween ditty done a few years back, this story was spawned from an image that I once drew. (Entitled "Silence" in the Junk section.) It also spawned a couple of characters who have now forced their way into Serpent of Souls--and settled rather comfortably.
The
House of Ghatts Jade and Marcus have been traveling together for centuries, praying on the weak and playing with houses, courts, and whatever their fancies may be. Now they have descended on the House of Ghatts, but Marcus is growing tired of Jade's ambition.
